First, we are a group that buys small amounts of gold to create a personal wealth portfolio. We are everyday people: mums and dads, students, retired, or middle aged. Like most people we don’t have a lot of money to throw around. But we know the value of saving for the future in a solid investment base. We set aside a small sum each week to purchase gold and it is stored in our savings account.

Second, we believe gold creates a solid wealth base for the future. Take a look at the annual percentage increase in gold over the last 50 years, and you will see that it continues to outgrow and outperform your bank savings. Another way of looking at this is that it will cost you more to buy gold in the future than it does now.

Third, inflation is eating away the spending value of our currency. That is, a hundred dollars doesn’t buy us as much this week as it did 10 years ago. This is because the buying power of the dollar (or the yuan, or ringgit, or yen, or the like) will buy us more gold now that it will in the future. So by acquiring gold we believe this is keeping us ahead of the inflation curve.
